Originally Ford Meehan Chapel, FMC Financial is a family owned business and is one of the most advanced insurance and financial services companies in Southern California.

We provide parents of college-bound students with the guidance in all areas of the college financial planning process, including how to make college more affordable by managing the financial aid process on your behalf, working closely to identify all of the grants, loans and scholarships available, and submitting all forms and paperwork associated with the process.

Scottie Chapel


Scottie attended The Ohio State University as a college athlete and finished his college career at Concorida University in Irvine California. Prior to specializing in college planning and funding, Scottie worked in the student loan consolidation industry.

Bob Harberson

Bob Harberson is a vital member of FMC College Funding Solutions team and has helped grow and expand the business to what it is today.

For over two and a half decades Dr. Betty has been transforming business, culture, and people, making her an award-winning business turnaround expert. She blends academic models with her own experience, strategic intellect and humanitarian endeavors to impact change. Her entrepreneurial and corporate experience has given her a unique universal understanding of various industries and businesses within the U.S. and international markets.

Nelson Meehan

Strategic Consultant

After graduating MIT, Nelson spent several years working as a research consultant to Fortune 400 companies. Specialties include corporate strategy, behavioral analytics, and pain-of-customer solutions. These corporate experiences have given him unique insights into enterprise-specific problems and opportunities. Working with everyone from the DoD to charitable organizations.

Lisa Myers

Financial Aid

With 15 years experience in higher education, Lisa has worked as an admission counselor, independent college counselor, blogger, writer and speaker.

Mike Moisio

Financial Aid

Mike graduated from Ohio University in 1995 and since has primarily worked in Marketing and Operations Management. Mike has worked in a wide range of fields from professional sports to opening and managing new restaurants.

Linda Ross

Financial Aid

Linda Ross has 18 years of experience as an advisor and manager in the college access and financial aid field. She is passionate about helping students and parents understand the financial aid process so they can make the best choices for their family. She has a BA from Purdue University and an MBA from Cleveland State University.

Lauren Brubaker

Financial Aid

Lauren graduated from Marietta College in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a minor in Philosophy. She received her Master of Science in 2006 from The University of Akron in Applied Mathematics. During her time at UA, Lauren was a member of the math honorary Pi Mu Epsilon and Women in Mathematics. While completing her Masters research from 2005-2006, she worked as a Statistician at American Greetings in Cleveland, Ohio.

Darren Rose


After almost 20 years in the world of finance in various capacities, Darren founded POM College Consulting, an experienced team that recognizes the need for a simple way to understand and navigate college planning.

Vanessa Johnson


Vanessa Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Education from The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio. Her past 7 years of experience in the field of Education have included several roles and opportunities working with high school students including teaching, administrative positions, and working with a team of counselors at a K-12 public school with 15,000 students.

Eileen Blattner


Eileen is a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors and has presented at many of their annual meetings. She is a member of the College Board, presenting at national and regional meetings. She has also been a member of the Admission Advisory Boards at Miami University, University of Michigan, Northwestern University and Ohio State University.

Joanna Fifner


Joanna has worked in the field of higher education for nearly ten years with experience in career exploration, admission, academic advising, and most recently, university outreach. She has enjoyed positions at a smaller, teaching-focused college and at a large research institution. Joanna holds Bachelor of Education with a minor in English Communication and a Master of Arts in Higher Education. She is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC)

Moira O’Riordan


Moira O’Riordan is the Director of College Counselor at St. Edward High School in Lakewood, Ohio. She has been a college counselor for fifteen years and taught at the secondary level for five years prior.

Reva Levenstein


Reva Levenstein has supported more than one thousand students and their families during the college admissions process and the college years. She has an MS Ed. From the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is also Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)certified. Reva is a member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) and the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA).
